This laboratory is one of the main and most important laboratories for first-year students. Its experiments are conducted in the first and second semesters. The laboratory syllabus consists of ten experiments, and their sequence has been arranged to match the theoretical material the student takes, in terms of the order of the information given, so that it corresponds to the syllabus of the Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering course. The laboratory aims to enable the student to acquire the basic skills of building simple electric circuits and using basic testing and measuring instruments. The student first learns how to handle instruments for measuring voltage, current and resistance and how to use them in practice, and becomes familiar with the application of Ohm's law and the types of circuit connection (series, parallel and mixed connection) and the basic laws for each type. Experiments on alternating current circuits are also conducted, along with how to handle the oscilloscope and how to measure frequency and phase angle using this instrument. In this way, the first-year student becomes acquainted with the basic principles that a computer engineer needs in professional life
