  • The Women's Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit of the College of Veterinary Medicine / University of Shatrah, held on Tuesday 9 September 2025 a cultural seminar entitled “Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder in Women”, presented by
  • Asst. Lect. Dhuha Hazim Hamad.

  • The seminar introduced obsessive-compulsive disorder and its psychological, biological and social causes, highlighting the particular way it appears in women due to hormonal changes and the pressures of daily life. It also discussed the main symptoms accompanying this disorder, such as anxiety and repetitive thoughts and behaviours, stressing the importance of early diagnosis and of seeking psychological help from a specialist doctor or from the family.

  • The seminar aimed to spread health awareness of the danger of neglecting psychological disorders, to promote a culture of caring for women's mental health, and to encourage the university community to provide psychological and moral support to those suffering from this disorder.
