Engineering Consultancy Office

The Office of Scientific and Consultancy Services at the University of Shatrah provides its services to all state institutions and the private sector in many fields, including medical, engineering, administrative, information technology, applied arts, agricultural, and the training of professional cadres, owing to the diversity of consultancy expertise and technical staff in the University's formations. It possesses modern, advanced expertise, equipment and laboratories for conducting all structural, electrical, mechanical and chemical tests in accordance with international specifications and standards.

Establishment of the Office

The Office was established in 2024 under the provisions of the Law of the Office of Scientific and Consultancy Services in Institutions of Higher Education and Scientific Research of 1997, as amended, after the University obtained the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research .

Vision

For the Engineering Consultancy Office to be the most important scientific and engineering consultancy office in Iraq, supplying development plans, investment projects and the labour market with scientific and engineering expertise and specialisations in various fields, and contributing to the development of consultancy work in all its fields by adopting sound foundations in line with modern global and international standards.

Mission

Preparing studies and designs, supervising the implementation of projects, checking drawings and bills of quantities, and providing engineering consultancy in the fields of industry, energy, housing, construction, environment, communications and digital technology, in addition to carrying out various laboratory tests according to standard specifications under the contracts concluded with the beneficiary bodies.

Objectives

Making use of the scientific and applied specialisations and expertise available at the University, including teaching staff, consultant professors, engineers and technicians, to supply and support development projects and programmes through the work teams formed by the Office to implement the contracts it concludes with various bodies in the public, private and mixed sectors.

Enabling the University's teaching, engineering and technical staff to acquire scientific and applied expertise to develop the educational process by involving them in the work teams formed by the Office, and constantly striving to broaden the base of their benefit from the Office's contracts and activities.

Communicating and cooperating with counterpart consultancy and scientific offices to exchange expertise and integrate specialisations in implementing contracts and projects.

Contributing to raising the standard of professional practice in Iraq.
