The Mechanics Laboratory is one of the core laboratories of the Department of Physics, used for the practical application of the concepts of the mechanics course for first-year students. The laboratory aims to illustrate the fundamental laws of motion, force, energy and momentum through practical experiments that help students understand the theoretical principles in a tangible way.
The laboratory provides modern scientific equipment and tools such as mechanical rulers, weights, small carts and various measuring instruments, enabling students to carry out experiments accurately and to measure and analyse the results. The laboratory also encourages students to think critically, solve problems and collaborate in groups while performing experiments.
The Mechanics Laboratory is a practical learning environment that strengthens students' understanding of the fundamental laws of physics, links theory with application, and helps develop their research and scientific skills from the very beginning of their academic careers.
