Environmental Pollution

The College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Shatrah Holds an Awareness Seminar Entitled «Environmental Pollution» as Part of University Psychological Counselling Week. Under the patronage of the President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, Prof. Dr. Imad Kadhim Yasser, the college's Psychological Counselling and Educational Guidance Unit held an awareness seminar as part of the activities of University Psychological Counselling Week, entitled «Environmental Pollution». The seminar was held on the morning of Monday, 24 November 2025, in the college hall, and was delivered by Mr. Karrar Abd Atshan, who gave an extensive lecture addressing the main forms of environmental pollution and its dangers to public health and the university environment, as well as the negative effects of increasing emissions and waste in urban communities. The lecturer also reviewed possible preventive measures and the role of students in consolidating a culture of environmental awareness by adopting environmentally friendly practices and helping to reduce pollutants inside and outside the campus. The seminar aims to strengthen students' environmental awareness and behaviour and to consolidate principles consistent with the University of Shatrah's direction of supporting guidance and educational programmes, contributing to building a healthy and sustainable university environment
