As part of Global Entrepreneurship and Creativity Week, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Shatrah held a scientific seminar on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, attended by a number of teaching staff and students.
The seminar was entitled "The Concept of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Higher Education" and was presented by Lect. Dr. Nada Kareem Abbas and Asst. Lect. Dhay Hazim Hamad. Its themes addressed the importance of consolidating the concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation in educational institutions and their role in preparing a generation with creative skills capable of keeping pace with scientific and technological developments.
The seminar aimed to spread the culture of entrepreneurship among students and researchers and to encourage them to adopt innovative ideas and turn them into applied projects that serve the community, as well as to strengthen the role of higher education in supporting sustainable development and building entrepreneurial capacities.
