Congratulations on the Start of the Academic Year

(In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful)

Praise be to God, who taught by the pen, taught man what he did not know,

and peace and blessings be upon our master Mohammed and upon all his family and companions.

My dear sons and daughters, our students,

Peace, mercy and blessings of God be upon you

With great pride and honour, I welcome you at the outset of a new academic year, a year we hope will be full of giving, diligence, creativity and excellence.

Your joining your dear College represents an important step in your scientific and professional journey, and shows your sincere desire to build a bright future for yourselves and for our dear country, Iraq.

The College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences is not merely an academic institution, but an integrated educational environment concerned with building students scientifically, physically

and morally. We, the Deanship of the College, together with all the professors and coaches, keep before our eyes a fundamental goal: preparing a generation of young people who possess knowledge, learning, fitness and discipline, capable of contributing to serving their community and raising the banner of their homeland.

I urge you, dear students, to be committed and disciplined, to invest your time in learning and training, and to participate actively in the scientific, sporting and cultural activities organised by the College. You are the hope of the future and its fundamental pillar; through you nations are built and energies are renewed.

We ask Almighty God to make this year a successful academic year full of distinction and success, and to grant you all success in what is good and right.

Peace, mercy and blessings of God be upon you

Prof. Dr. (Imad Kadhim Yasser)
