Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Shatrah Celebrates Iraqi Victory Day

Under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Imad Kadhim Yasser

The Psychological Counselling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, University of Shatrah, today organised a special celebration on the occasion of Iraqi Victory Day, attended by the college deanship, members of the teaching staff and students.

It opened with a moment of mourning for the souls of the martyrs and a recitation of Surat Al-Fatiha for their pure souls, followed by a speech by the Dean of the College, in which he stressed the importance of this national occasion, which embodies the heroic spirit of Iraqis and the sacrifices of the security forces and the Popular Mobilisation Forces in confronting terrorism. He also pointed to the role of educational institutions in consolidating the values of belonging and unity and in strengthening national awareness among students.

At the close of the events, the Dean affirmed that our college will continue to hold activities that strengthen national identity and immortalise the sacrifices of the sons of Iraq.⁩
