The Department of English Language at the College of Education – Al-Dawaia held a distinctive event presented by the Department's female students, consisting of a performance of the anthem «Salaman Ya Mahdi» (Peace Be upon You, O Mahdi) in English, as part of the activities of the central welcome ceremony for first-year students.
This activity was a distinctive and qualitative addition to the ceremony programme, as it reflected the creativity of the Department's students and their ability to employ the English language in purposeful cultural and religious contexts.
